Mom's English Mustard Sauce

A great hotsy-totsy mustard sauce for meat sandwiches.   Not sure what would happen if you tossed in some horseradish after adding the vinegar, maybe too much of a kick.

1/2 C light brown sugar
1/2 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C dry mustard
1/2 tsp turmeric
boiling water
white wine vinegar

Mix sugar, flour, salt, mustard and turmeric in saucepan.  Add enough boiling water to make a thick paste.  Cook on very low temperature for 30 seconds.  Thin with vinegar.
